Lechia Gdańsk delivered a commanding away performance to secure a convincing 3-1 victory over Lech Poznań in a match that showcased clinical finishing and opportunistic play. Tomasz Neugebauer set the tone with an early opener inside two minutes, before Ali Gholizadeh briefly restored parity for the hosts. However, Antonio Milic's unfortunate own goal early in the second half shifted momentum decisively back to the visitors, with Tomas Bobcek adding the third to seal the win. The result represents a significant boost for Lechia's campaign, while Lech will be disappointed with their inability to build on Gholizadeh's equalizer and their defensive lapses that proved costly.
Lech Poznań return to Ekstraklasa action hosting bottom-dwellers Lechia Gdańsk in a January derby at Enea Stadion. With Lech sitting 8th and looking to climb the table, they face a desperate Lechia side fighting for survival at the foot of the table.
