Outstanding performance
Vukovar•MidfielderVukovar staged a remarkable comeback from 2-0 down to salvage a crucial point against Slaven Koprivnica in a dramatic 1. HNL encounter. The visitors looked comfortable after Leonard Žuta's early opener was followed by Josip Mitrovic's goal just before halftime, but Jakov Puljic emerged as the hero for the hosts with two well-taken penalties in the 41st and 82nd minutes. The match was characterized by physical play with five yellow cards issued, while both managers made numerous tactical adjustments with seven substitutions between them as the game wore on. This result keeps both teams locked in mid-table obscurity, but Vukovar will take significant confidence from their fighting spirit in overturning such a deficit.
