Club Brugge delivered a professional away performance in the city derby, taking control early in the second half through quickfire goals from Nicolò Tresoldi and Carlos Forbs. The visitors' clinical finishing in a six-minute span effectively decided the contest, with Tresoldi opening his account before Forbs doubled the advantage. Despite Nazinho's response for Cercle Brugge twenty minutes later, the home side couldn't find the equalizer despite making multiple attacking substitutions. This vital three points strengthens Club Brugge's position in what appears to be a competitive title race, while Cercle will rue their inability to capitalize on home advantage in this prestigious local fixture.
