Outstanding performance
Zulte-Waregem•GoalkeeperZulte-Waregem secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Sporting Charleroi thanks to Jeppe Erenbjerg's first-half strike, giving them vital breathing room in their battle against relegation. The Danish midfielder capitalized on a defensive lapse in the 41st minute to net what proved to be the winner in a typically cagey affair between two mid-table sides. Charleroi struggled to create clear-cut chances throughout and their frustration showed as Aiham Ousou picked up a booking for dissent, while late time-wasting tactics from the hosts highlighted the nervy finish. This result sees Zulte-Waregem climb away from the danger zone while Charleroi's inconsistent form continues to plague their campaign.
