FC Groningen•DefenderFortuna Sittard secured a crucial away victory at FC Groningen through clinical finishing and composed game management after an explosive opening half hour. Dies Janse gave the hosts an early lead, but Fortuna's response was swift and decisive - Kaj Sierhuis leveled within six minutes before Lance Duijvestijn completed the turnaround with what proved to be the winner on 32 minutes. The visitors showed impressive maturity in the second half, weathering Groningen's pressure and making tactical substitutions to preserve their advantage, with Mohamed Ihattaren's early booking for time-wasting indicative of their pragmatic approach.
