Go Ahead Eagles
Outstanding performance
FC Groningen•DefenderFC Groningen dominated possession and territory but were left frustrated in a goalless draw with Go Ahead Eagles at the Euroborg. The hosts controlled 54% of possession and registered 24 shots to the visitors' 10, yet couldn't find the breakthrough against a resolute Eagles defence. Both sides squandered their best chances in a match that saw eight substitutions after the 50th minute as managers searched for the decisive goal. The result keeps both teams in mid-table mediocrity, with Groningen's inability to convert territorial dominance into goals continuing to hamper their season.
