Outstanding performance
PSV•MidfielderPSV were made to work briefly in the opening exchanges, with Twente equalising just 60 seconds after falling behind, but the hosts ultimately ran away with a dominant 5-1 victory that flatters neither team's early exchanges. Ryan Flamingo's opener on 15 minutes was almost immediately cancelled out by Sondre Ørjasæter, and for a spell Twente looked capable of causing problems — their 18 shots and 38 dangerous attacks show they were not passive. However, Noah Fernandez's strike just before half-time proved crucial, and PSV's second half was ruthless: Dennis Man, Guus Til, and a Ricardo Pepi penalty in the 84th minute made the scoreline emphatic. PSV created six big chances to Twente's two, and despite their opponents actually registering more shots overall, the home side's clinical edge — converting seven of 13 shots on target — was the defining factor. For PSV, the result consolidates their position at the top of the Eredivisie standings in the closing weeks of the season, while Twente's defensive frailties were brutally exposed on a frustrating afternoon.
