VVV-Venlo
VVV-Venlo looked to have the perfect start at Kerkrade, converting an early penalty through Philip Heise before Joshua Nisbet's quick response leveled the match within five minutes. Roda JC appeared to have turned the tie in their favor when Jack Cooper-Love struck just before the half-hour mark, but substitute Bjorn van Zijl proved the hero for the visitors with a crucial equalizer seven minutes from time. The result maintains both sides' mid-table positions in the Eerste Divisie, with Roda JC's failure to hold their lead representing a missed opportunity to climb the table at home.
Roda JC Kerkrade seeks revenge against VVV-Venlo in this rescheduled Eerste Divisie derby after suffering back-to-back defeats to their rivals. The home side's four-match losing streak meets VVV's recent head-to-head dominance in a clash that promises goals given both teams' defensive struggles.
