MVV Maastricht secured a vital 2-1 victory over Jong PSV in what proved to be a tale of two halves at the De Geusselt. After falling behind to Austyn Jones' early strike for the visitors, the home side regrouped and found their equalizer through Delano Asante in the 17th minute before adding what proved to be the winner in the second half. The result extends MVV's recent good form and deals a blow to Jong PSV's development objectives, with the young PSV side unable to build on their bright start. MVV's experience and home advantage ultimately told as they controlled proceedings after the early exchanges, with their pressing game and set-piece delivery causing problems for Jong PSV's youthful backline throughout.
