Blackburn Rovers staged a remarkable comeback at The Den, overturning a 1-0 deficit to defeat Millwall 2-1 despite playing with ten men for over 30 minutes. Mathias Jørgensen was the hero for Rovers, scoring twice in five minutes to complete the turnaround after Luke Cundle had given Millwall the lead early in the second half. The turning point came when Zak Sturge was sent off for a professional foul as the last man on 59 minutes, but rather than retreat, Blackburn showed tremendous character to push forward and claim all three points through Jørgensen's clinical finishing.
