David McGoldrick delivered a masterclass at the Breyer Group Stadium, netting a clinical hat-trick to fire Barnsley to a convincing 3-1 victory over Leyton Orient. The veteran striker opened the scoring after just ten minutes before Dylan Levitt briefly restored parity for the hosts. However, McGoldrick took control in the second half, adding two more goals within nine minutes to seal the points. Orient manager made desperate changes with three substitutions at the 58-minute mark, but Barnsley's experienced frontman proved unstoppable as the Tykes moved further up the League One table with an impressive away performance.
