Plymouth Argyle
Rotherham United secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at home, with J. Rafferty's early seventh-minute strike proving to be the decisive moment. The Millers adopted a pragmatic approach after taking the lead, focusing on defensive solidity while Plymouth struggled to create clear-cut chances despite dominating possession. The match became increasingly fractious as Plymouth's frustration grew, with ten yellow cards shown throughout a stop-start encounter that saw multiple substitutions from both sides. This vital three points will boost Rotherham's League One campaign significantly, while Plymouth's disappointing away form continues to hamper their progress up the table.
