Milton Keynes Dons secured a comfortable 2-0 victory at Walsall with a disciplined performance that saw them take control in the first half and seal the points late on. Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's 30th-minute opener gave the visitors the perfect platform, capitalizing on what appeared to be a well-worked move to break the deadlock. The match became increasingly fractious as it wore on, with five yellow cards issued including bookings for dissent and time-wasting, but MK Dons remained composed throughout. Jon Mellish's 84th-minute strike put the result beyond doubt, capping off a professional away performance that will boost their League Two campaign and leave Walsall frustrated after failing to create clear-cut chances against organized opposition.
