Colchester United
Salford City
Salford City claimed a crucial away victory at Colchester United through Cole Stockton's 78th-minute strike, with the substitute making an immediate impact just nine minutes after being introduced. The match was a scrappy affair punctuated by numerous fouls, as evidenced by five yellow cards being shown across both sides in what became an increasingly physical encounter. Colchester struggled to create clear-cut chances throughout and will be disappointed to have dropped points at home, while Salford's tactical patience and well-timed substitutions proved decisive. This victory gives Salford valuable momentum in the League Two mid-table, while Colchester's recent inconsistencies continue to hamper their progress in what has been a stop-start campaign for the U's.
