Basel•DefenderThun secured a crucial away victory at Basel through a perfectly timed late winner, with substitute Valmir Matoshi proving to be the difference maker. The visitors took an early lead through Leonardo Bertone's 15th-minute strike and showed impressive resilience to regain their advantage after Basel's equalizer. Dominik Schmid's 57th-minute goal appeared to have shifted momentum toward the home side, but Thun's tactical substitutions paid dividends as fresh legs helped them reclaim control. This vital three points lifts Thun's spirits and potentially eases pressure in what appears to be a challenging campaign, while Basel will rue their inability to capitalize on home advantage and build on their equalizing goal.
