K. Beerschot V.A. were denied victory in the cruellest fashion as Andres Labie's stoppage-time own goal rescued a point for RWDM Brussels in a dramatic 1-1 draw. Rajiv Van La Parra's early opener had put the hosts in control before RWDM were reduced to ten men when Yacine Chaib received his second yellow card in the 32nd minute. Despite their numerical disadvantage, RWDM showed tremendous resilience and defensive organization to frustrate Beerschot for the majority of the match. The result keeps both teams in the mix for promotion contention in the Challenger Pro League, though Beerschot will rue missing the chance to capitalize on their man advantage and secure three crucial points.
