Rochdale and Scunthorpe United shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 draw that saw both sides take the lead within the opening half-hour. Callum Roberts put the visitors ahead with a well-taken goal on 17 minutes, but Rochdale's response was swift as Ryan East found the equalizer just 15 minutes later. The match became increasingly fractious as it wore on, with five yellow cards shown including three in a heated second-half period. Both managers made multiple substitutions in the closing stages as they searched for a winner, but neither side could find the decisive goal in what was an evenly-contested affair between two mid-table sides.
