Scunthorpe United
Aldershot Town delivered a dominant first-half performance to secure a crucial 3-1 victory over Scunthorpe United at the EBB Stadium. Sean Patton was the star of the show, netting twice in the opening 16 minutes to put the Shots in complete control before a third goal on 33 minutes effectively killed the contest. The match turned scrappy after the break with three yellow cards issued, but Aldershot managed the game professionally despite Scunthorpe pulling one back. This emphatic win strengthens Aldershot's position in third place and maintains their excellent recent form, while Scunthorpe's struggles continue as they failed to cope with the home side's early intensity.
