Aldershot Town
York City
York City delivered a commanding away performance to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory at Aldershot Town, with goals spread across all phases of play demonstrating their superior quality on the day. Ollie Banks opened the scoring in the 24th minute to give the visitors early control, before Alex Newby doubled the advantage just before the hour mark to effectively kill off any hopes of an Aldershot comeback. Josh Stones added the cherry on top with seven minutes remaining, capping off a professional display that saw York dictate proceedings from start to finish. The result will boost York's confidence significantly as they continue their National League campaign, while Aldershot will need to regroup quickly after a disappointing home showing that saw them struggle to create meaningful chances throughout the 90 minutes.
