Beitar Jerusalem staged a dramatic late turnaround to secure victory at Hapoel Petah Tikva in a match that looked destined for a draw until the final moments. After Yarden Shua gave the visitors an early second-half lead, Boni Amian's equalizer on 63 minutes seemed to have earned the hosts a valuable point. However, substitute Dor Hugi became the hero for Beitar, netting twice in the dying moments to complete a stunning comeback victory. The win maintains Beitar's strong league position while leaving Petah Tikva to rue missed opportunities in what had been a closely contested affair marked by numerous bookings and tactical adjustments from both sides.
Beitar Jerusalem travel to face Hapoel Petah Tikva with the title race heating up. The visitors demolished their hosts 5-2 earlier this season and will look to maintain their championship challenge against mid-table opposition.
