Maccabi Netanya
Beitar Jerusalem
Beitar Jerusalem delivered a ruthless attacking masterclass to demolish Maccabi Netanya 8-2 in what became one of the most one-sided affairs in Ligat ha'Al this season. After Netanya took an early lead through Basam Zaarura, Beitar responded with devastating efficiency, netting seven unanswered goals across two explosive periods - a four-goal blitz just before halftime and three more strikes in the final stages. Yarden Shua's brace kickstarted the visitors' rampage, while late substitutes Ziv Ben Shimol and Johnbosco Samuel Kalu rubbed salt in the wounds with goals in the dying minutes. This emphatic victory will significantly boost Beitar's league standing and confidence, while Netanya face serious questions about their defensive frailties after conceding eight goals at home.
How entertaining was this match?
Second-placed Beitar Jerusalem travel to Netanya Stadium looking to bounce back from recent draws and maintain pressure in the title race. Maccabi Netanya, sitting 7th, will hope their home advantage can help upset the visitors despite their defensive struggles this season.
