A pulsating encounter at Tondela saw both sides share the spoils in a 2-2 thriller that burst into life in the final moments. Rony Lopes' early stunner from outside the box gave the hosts the advantage, but VAR controversy surrounded Murilo de Souza Costa's penalty equalizer after a handball decision. The match appeared settled when substitute Carlos Eduardo Borges Parente headed Gil Vicente ahead with just seconds remaining, only for Joe Hodge to snatch a dramatic equalizer in the dying embers. Gil Vicente's superior dangerous attacks (64 to 32) and shots (14 to 10) suggested they edged the overall play, but Tondela's resilience and Hodge's late intervention ensured neither side left empty-handed in this captivating Liga Portugal encounter.
