Pharco looked set for three crucial points after Karim El Tayeb's early strike, but Petrojet showed great resilience to salvage a share of the spoils through substitute Sikou Sonko's late equalizer. The home side dominated the opening exchanges and took a deserved lead in the 8th minute, but their afternoon was disrupted by an early injury forcing Abdelrahman Rashdan's introduction, who then picked up a booking just seven minutes later. Petrojet grew into the contest as the match wore on, making a flurry of second-half substitutions that eventually paid dividends when Sonko struck with just eight minutes remaining after a VAR review. This result maintains the tight nature of the title race, with both teams earning a valuable point in their respective campaigns.
