Carrarese pulled off a crucial away victory at Avellino with a disciplined second-half performance that could prove vital in their Serie B campaign. After falling behind early to Tommaso Biasci's opener, the visitors showed immediate resilience through Rubino's quick equalizer before settling into a patient approach. The decisive moment came through Fabio Abiuso's 71st-minute winner, capitalizing on Avellino's attacking desperation as they pushed for a second goal. This result lifts Carrarese further away from relegation concerns while leaving Avellino in a precarious position near the bottom of the table, with their home form becoming a growing worry.
