Virtus Entella
Outstanding performance
Virtus Entella•DefenderSampdoria let two crucial points slip away at home as Virtus Entella fought back to claim a valuable draw in this relegation six-pointer. Luigi Cherubini's 34th-minute opener looked to have given the Blucerchiati the platform for a much-needed victory, but their failure to capitalize on their first-half dominance proved costly. The visitors emerged from the break with renewed purpose, making tactical adjustments that eventually yielded their equalizer and left Sampdoria still searching for consistency in their battle to climb away from the relegation zone. This result does little to ease the pressure on either side, with both teams remaining locked in the lower reaches of Serie B and desperately needing to string together wins rather than draws.
Sampdoria welcome Virtus Entella to Luigi Ferraris in a crucial Serie B relegation battle. Both sides are struggling near the bottom of the table, making this a must-win encounter for survival hopes.
