Julián Illanes opened the scoring in the 28th minute to settle any early nerves, before Simone Zanon doubled the advantage just past the hour mark to put the result beyond doubt. Fabio Abiuso added the cherry on top with 14 minutes remaining, capping off a dominant display that saw Carrarese control proceedings from start to finish.
