The visitors' halftime substitutions proved decisive, with Silvio Merkaj opening the scoring just three minutes after his introduction, giving Südtirol the breakthrough they needed. The match was effectively sealed by a fortunate own goal from Bari's Moussa Mané, though Emanuele Rao's late consolation goal for the hosts ensured a nervy finish.
