Outstanding performance
Avellino•DefenderAvellino secured a crucial 2-1 victory at Virtus Entella after establishing a commanding first-half lead through goals from Raffaele Russo and Tommaso Cancellotti within the opening 25 minutes. The visitors' clinical early finishing put them in complete control, with both goals coming from well-worked attacking moves that exposed Entella's defensive vulnerabilities. Despite making multiple substitutions throughout the second half to chase the game, Entella could only manage a consolation goal through Andrea Tiritiello in the final moments. This result lifts Avellino's form and gives them valuable momentum in Serie B's competitive mid-table battle, while Entella's disappointing home performance leaves them with work to do to climb away from the lower reaches of the table.
