Stellenbosch secured a vital 2-1 victory over Chippa United thanks to Tshegofatso Mabasa's devastating three-minute double strike in the first half. The striker capitalized on defensive lapses to put the home side in complete control before the break. Chippa United's triple substitution at halftime showed their desperation to turn the tide, and they managed to pull one back through S. Kwayiba's 81st-minute penalty. However, their hopes were dashed when substitute Wonderboy Makhubu received a straight red card for a reckless foul in the dying moments, ensuring Stellenbosch held on for three crucial points that should boost their mid-table position.
