Mamelodi Sundowns overcame an early setback to secure a commanding 3-1 victory over Marumo Gallants, with Teboho Mokoena's second-half brace proving decisive. After Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya's unfortunate own goal gave Sundowns the lead, Gallants responded well through Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo's penalty to level the scores before halftime. However, Sundowns' tactical adjustments at the break, including the introduction of Mokoena, completely shifted the momentum. The midfielder's two clinical finishes in the 62nd and 90th minutes showcased the quality gap between the sides, with Sundowns asserting their title credentials while Gallants face an uphill battle in their fight for league survival.
