Outstanding performance
Al Taawoun•DefenderAl Hilal dominated possession and created numerous chances but were forced to settle for a frustrating 2-2 draw against resilient Al Taawoun. Despite controlling 59% of possession and registering 24 shots to their opponents' six, Al Hilal's profligacy in front of goal proved costly as they missed four big chances. Andrei Girotto was the standout performer, netting twice for Al Taawoun including the goal that put them ahead, before Marcos Leonardo's 77th-minute equalizer salvaged a point for the hosts. The result continues Al Hilal's inconsistent form and represents a valuable point gained for Al Taawoun against one of the league's stronger sides.
