Outstanding performance
Al Riyadh•AttackerAl Riyadh completed a stunning comeback victory against Al Ettifaq in a thrilling five-goal encounter. After falling 2-0 behind early through Wijnaldum's fifth-minute opener and Al-Ghannam's strike, the visitors showed remarkable resilience. Leandro Antunes spearheaded the fightback with a brilliant brace either side of half-time to level the contest. Despite Al Ettifaq's early dominance and slight possession edge (51%), Al Riyadh's superior attacking output proved decisive - registering 19 shots and creating five big chances compared to the hosts' 13 shots and three big chances. The drama reached its peak when substitute Mamadou Sylla struck in the 90th minute to complete an extraordinary turnaround, securing three vital points for Al Riyadh.
How entertaining was this match?
Al Ettifaq host relegation-threatened Al Riyadh at EGO Stadium with momentum from their dramatic 3-2 win over Al Qadsiah. The 7th-placed hosts dominated the December meeting 2-0 and will look to capitalize on Al Riyadh's poor away form and defensive vulnerabilities.
