Outstanding performance

Al Hazm came from behind to claim three important Pro League points against Al Riyadh, with the match turning decisively in the opening exchanges of the second half. Tozé gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot on 41 minutes after a foul-littered first half that produced four yellow cards, but Al Hazm refused to fold. Loreintz Rosier, who had himself been booked just before the break, responded almost immediately after the restart with the equaliser on 49 minutes, and the home side pushed on to complete a 2-1 victory. Statistically, Al Riyadh were the marginally superior side — holding 54 percent possession, registering 16 shots to Al Hazm's 13, and creating four big chances compared to three — yet they squandered three of those opportunities and were let down by their finishing when it mattered most. Al Hazm, for their part, were more clinical and more resilient, and the result will carry real weight in a tightly contested mid-table picture.
