Vitesse secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Jong AZ thanks to a brilliant individual performance from Dillon Hoogewerf, who struck either side of half-time to seal the points. The home side dominated proceedings after the break, with Hoogewerf's opener on the stroke of half-time proving to be the catalyst for their control. Jong AZ's triple substitution at the interval suggested tactical desperation, but they struggled to create meaningful chances against a well-organized Vitesse defense. This result strengthens Vitesse's position in the Eerste Divisie table and continues their solid form, while Jong AZ will need to regroup quickly after failing to trouble the scorers despite making nine changes throughout the match.
