Outstanding performance

Brisbane Roar and Perth Glory played out a thrilling first half that saw the match swing from one side to the other within minutes at Suncorp Stadium. Christopher Long gave the home side the perfect start with a clinical finish in the 16th minute, capitalizing on some poor Glory defending to slot home from close range. However, the visitors' response was almost immediate - just three minutes later, Youstin Salas' unfortunate own goal leveled the scores as he diverted a Glory cross past his own keeper under pressure. Both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances in a much quieter second half, with early substitutions from both managers suggesting tactical adjustments that ultimately cancelled each other out. The point does little for either team's aspirations this season, with both sides continuing to languish in the lower half of the A-League Men's table.
