Mamelodi Sundowns
Al Hilal Omdurman secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in this CAF Champions League encounter, building their advantage through first-half dominance before holding firm under second-half pressure. Mohamed Abdelrahman's penalty conversion on the stroke of half-time opened the scoring, with Jean Claude Girumugisha extending the lead just four minutes after the restart to put the Sudanese side in commanding control. Arthur Sales' introduction at half-time proved inspired for Sundowns as he pulled one back on 61 minutes, but despite throwing everything forward in the final third of the match, the South African champions couldn't find the equalizer that would have salvaged a point from their travels to Sudan.
Al Hilal Omdurman host Mamelodi Sundowns in a top-of-the-table CAF Champions League Group C clash. Both teams sit level on 5 points after their thrilling 2-2 draw last week, with group qualification hanging in the balance in this 'group of death'.
