Outstanding performance
Inter Miami•MidfielderInter Miami dominated possession and chances but were forced to settle for a dramatic 2-2 draw against a clinical Austin side. Despite controlling 66% of possession and registering 26 shots to Austin's 9, Miami twice found themselves behind to well-taken Austin goals. Lionel Messi's early header kept Miami in touch after Guilherme Biro's corner conversion, but substitute Jayden Nelson's clinical finish against the run of play stunned the home crowd. Luis Suárez's 81st-minute equalizer from close range salvaged a crucial point for Miami, who will rue missing three big chances in a match they controlled but couldn't close out.
