Pivotal“Diego Luna, already on a yellow card from a foul three minutes earlier, thundered home an equaliser to make it 3-3 and complete one of the most dramatic second-half comebacks of the MLS season. RSL's triple substitution at half-time had completely transformed the match.”

Dallas arrived at Rio Tinto Stadium and ripped the game open inside the first 20 minutes, with Joaquín Valiente and Petar Musa striking in quick succession to put the visitors firmly in control. Real Salt Lake — who dominated possession at 59% and created seven big chances throughout the evening — were wasteful early, and Dallas punished them clinically, with Musa adding a third just before the break to make it 1-3 after Sergi Solans had given the home side brief hope. The second half, however, belonged to RSL's bench and their relentless attacking pressure: triple substitutions at the break sparked a revival, Morgan Guilavogui pulling one back on 50 minutes before Diego Luna — yellow card and all — smashed an equaliser on 64 minutes to complete a stunning 3-3 turnaround. But Dallas had the final say through substitute Ran Binyamin, who broke RSL hearts in the 90th minute to seal a 4-3 win that keeps Dallas firmly in the title race, while Salt Lake's inability to convert five of their seven big chances proves costly in what was a match they controlled in almost every statistical category but ultimately lost.
