Inter Miami looked to be cruising after Casemiro's header and Luis Suarez's clinical finish either side of Almiron's leveler gave them a 2-1 cushion at the break, built on the kind of star-power moments you'd expect from Messi's creativity and Suarez's movement. But Atlanta United, who out-shot their hosts 15-11 and created more big chances (4 to 2), kept probing and were rewarded when Breel Embolo converted a penalty in the 87th minute to snatch a point. Miami's clinical edge in front of goal (3 shots on target scoring twice via quality individual moments) contrasted with Atlanta's higher volume approach, and the visitors' pressure eventually told despite Almiron missing a penalty of his own just minutes earlier. The result leaves both sides with work to do, Miami frustrated at squandering a lead against a physical Atlanta side that committed 18 fouls and picked up cards for Falcon, Sanchez, Berterame, Caicedo, and others in a bruising encounter.
