Sporting Braga
Fafe pulled off a stunning cup upset against Sporting Braga, weathering a late scare to secure a memorable 2-1 victory. The underdogs took control in the first half through João Santos' opener and looked to have sealed the tie when Carlos Daniel doubled their advantage on 70 minutes. Despite Braga's desperate triple substitution at halftime and continued tactical adjustments throughout the second half, they struggled to break down a resolute Fafe defense until Mario Dorgeles' 90th-minute strike set up a frantic finish. This giant-killing result propels Fafe into the next round of the Taça De Portugal and represents a significant scalp for the lower-division side.
Third-tier AD Fafe welcome Primeira Liga giants Sporting Braga to Parque Municipal dos Desportos in a classic Taça de Portugal quarter-final upset opportunity. With Braga missing four key players through injury and coming off a disappointing defeat, the stage is set for potential cup magic.
