Umm-Salal delivered a stunning away performance to demolish Al Sadd 5-2 in what became a statement victory in the Stars League. After Giovani gave the hosts an early lead, Cristo González emerged as the match-winner with a devastating two-goal burst between the 35th and 38th minutes that flipped the game on its head. The visitors never looked back as they added two more goals through Abdalaziz Al Hasia and Salem Al-Hajri to make it 5-1, with Akram Afif's late penalty merely a consolation for a shell-shocked Al Sadd side. This emphatic result will significantly boost Umm-Salal's confidence while leaving Al Sadd with serious questions about their defensive frailties and title aspirations.
