Vitória
Chapecoense
Outstanding performance
Vitória•MidfielderVitória were ruthless with their limited openings, converting four of their eight shots on target while Chapecoense, despite dominating dangerous attacks 62 to 30 and winning more corners, could not turn territory into goals. The game was goalless but tense through the first 17 minutes before Erick broke the deadlock, and once Matheusinho doubled the lead early in the second half the floodgates opened. Matheusinho and Erick were the standout performers, combining for all four goals and constantly linking up down the right, while Chapecoense's profligacy in front of goal and 17 fouls conceded summed up a chaotic, undisciplined afternoon. For Vitória this result cements their push up the table, while Chapecoense's wasteful finishing and defensive fragility will raise serious concerns heading into their next fixtures.
