Outstanding performance
Remo•GoalkeeperBahia controlled this one from start to finish, dominating possession at 63% and doubling Remo's shot count while creating five big chances to their opponent's one. Jean Lucas opened the scoring in the 20th minute after a spell of sustained pressure that included a saved effort from Rodrigo Nestor and a blocked shot from Erick Da Costa Farias, and Bahia never really let go of the game's rhythm from there. A mass substitution shake-up at halftime and again past the 70th minute freshened both sides, and Bahia's changes paid off when Luciano Juba converted from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to make it 2-0. Remo, who managed just three shots on target compared to Bahia's nine and made 20 tackles in a largely reactive display, snatched a stoppage-time penalty consolation through Vitor Bueno to set up a nervy finish that flattered a scoreline which had otherwise looked comfortably in Bahia's control throughout.
