Mirassol
Outstanding performance
Internacional•MidfielderMirassol pulled off a stunning upset against Internacional, capitalizing on clinical finishing to secure a 2-1 victory despite being completely outplayed statistically. Internacional dominated proceedings with 72% possession and 24 shots but were undone by wastefulness in front of goal and Mirassol's ruthless counter-attacking. Lucas Oliveira and André Luís struck in the first half to give the visitors a commanding lead, with Alesson providing both assists. Internacional's late surge brought just one consolation goal through Alan Patrick in the 90th minute, highlighting their profligacy despite creating 110 dangerous attacks. This result represents a massive three points for Mirassol in what appears to be a title race, while Internacional will rue their inability to convert dominance into goals.
