Outstanding performance
São Paulo•DefenderInternacional took an early lead through Alerrandro's close-range finish in the 23rd minute, capitalizing on Braian Aguirre's precise cross after some sustained pressure. São Paulo struggled to create clear chances for most of the match, with Internacional looking comfortable defending their advantage through the majority of proceedings. The visitors' persistence finally paid off in the 87th minute when Jonathan Calleri converted from close range after initially heading wide from Cédric Soares' cross. This hard-fought point keeps both teams in contention in what appears to be a tight Serie A title race, with São Paulo showing character to rescue a result that looked unlikely for much of the contest.
