Outstanding performance
América•MidfielderAmérica showed their championship pedigree with a clinical 2-1 victory over Querétaro at La Corregidora, demonstrating why they remain Liga MX's most successful club. Brian Rodríguez opened the scoring with a perfectly timed counterattack finish after América weathered early pressure, capitalizing on Álex Zendejas' precise setup. Querétaro responded admirably just before halftime through Alí Ávila's towering header from Jhojan Julio's cross, but Patricio Salas proved the difference-maker, netting what would be the winner just after the hour mark with a composed left-footed strike. The victory keeps América in strong form and extends their recent dominance in this fixture, while Querétaro will rue missed opportunities despite showing fighting spirit throughout.
