Outstanding performance
Basel•AttackerBasel secured a crucial away victory at Lausanne Sport thanks to Giacomo Koloto's clinical double, with the Italian striker netting early and then delivering the decisive blow in the 68th minute. Lausanne's response came through substitute Omar Janneh who leveled the score just 10 minutes after his half-time introduction, capitalizing on the tactical changes made by the home side. The match turned on Basel's ability to absorb Lausanne's second-half pressure and strike at the perfect moment, with Koloto's winner coming against the run of play when the hosts were pushing for control. This result strengthens Basel's position in the Super League table while leaving Lausanne to rue missed opportunities in what was an evenly contested affair that swung on individual moments of quality.
