St. Gallen delivered a dominant first-half performance to dismantle Basel 3-0 in what became a comprehensive victory at home. Chima Okoroji was the star of the show, netting twice in the opening 15 minutes to put the hosts in complete control, before Carlo Boukhalfa added a third before the half-hour mark. Basel's double substitution at halftime showed their desperation to change the game's trajectory, but St. Gallen had already done the damage with their clinical finishing and attacking intensity. This emphatic win will provide a significant boost to St. Gallen's campaign, while Basel must quickly regroup from this heavy defeat that exposed defensive frailties.
