Outstanding performance

Tromsø dominated the underlying numbers, controlling 66% of possession and firing 18 shots to HamKam's 5, but it was far from a comfortable afternoon. HamKam struck first through Mohamed Ofkir before Morten Bjørlo levelled almost immediately, and the hosts only truly took control after Heine Åsen Larsen's 60th-minute finish put them ahead for good. Substitute Vegard Erlien's clinical header in the 85th minute looked to have made the game safe at 3-1, but Vetle Skjærvik's unfortunate own goal two minutes later set up a nervous finish. HamKam's resilience, despite being outshot and out-passed by a huge margin (355 passes to 712, just 2 shots on target to Tromsø's 11), meant the result stayed in doubt until the final whistle, and Tromsø's win keeps their strong current form intact heading into the next fixture.
