Outstanding performance

KFUM produced a stunning first-half turnaround, going 1-0 up through Bilal Njie before Aalesund's Marcus Reed levelled, only for Håkon Helland Hoseth to restore the lead right on the stroke of half-time. Despite being outplayed for large stretches - Aalesund dominated possession 61-39% and out-shot the hosts 19-9 - KFUM were far more efficient, converting two of their five shots on target while limiting Aalesund to just three on target from nineteen attempts. The second half became a war of attrition, with five yellow cards shown after the break as both sides pushed for a response, but Aalesund's territorial dominance and 54 dangerous attacks never translated into the breakthrough they needed. For a team sitting bottom of the table, this result is a huge lift for KFUM, while Aalesund will be frustrated at wasting a performance built on control but not conversion.
